Bridget Kibbey, a harpist of “blazing power and finesse” (New York Times) joins João Luiz, a leading guitarist of his generation and member of the acclaimed Brasil Guitar Duo, for an exploration of pathways in Latin American, Afro-Cuban, and Afro-Brazilian music. The performers share their own insights and read Latin American poetry as they connect the works on the program, which brings together European, indigenous folk, and contemporary musical influences.
