They bring to life music by Henry Purcell and modern classics including Ruth Crawford Seeger’s String Quartet 1931 and George Benjamin’s ragtime-inspired Relativity Rag alongside more recent works, including Thomas Adès’s thrilling, mind-bending Piano Quintet.
