Calmus & The Sebastians
March 4, 2019
7:30PM
The Leipzig-based vocal ensemble Calmus is “stunning in its vocal variety and mastery” (Washington Post), which they apply to the densest scores by Bach and to their own arrangements of contemporary songs. They join for the first time to perform Bach with NYC-based The Sebastians, “a leading young early-music ensemble” (New York Times). The “strikingly vivid” personality of Calmus and the “sharp-edged and engaging” Sebastians (New York Times) should make for a thrilling collaboration.
