The Westerlies & Conrad Tao, piano
Pianist Conrad Tao, a performer of “probing intellect and open-hearted vision” (New York Times), joins genre-defying brass ensemble, The Westerlies, “an arty quartet…mixing ideas from jazz, new classical, and Appalachian folk” (New York Times). Individually, they perform both classics (by J. S. Bach and Brahms) and contemporary work (by Caroline Shaw), and they improvise as part of their first-ever New York performance together.
