Conrad Tao, piano
Stefan Jackiw, violin
Jay Campbell, cello
The Junction Trio brings together three promising young soloists: pianist, Conrad Tao (“probing intellect and open-hearted vision,” NY Times); violinist, Stefan Jackiw (“could be a rock star,” LA Times), and cellist, Jay Campbell (“electrifying,“ NY Times). Together, the three apply their adventuresome spirit to an eclectic mix of repertoire — here, Beethoven’s majestic “Archduke” Trio and New York native John Zorn’s raucous Ghosts, inspired by Beethoven’s “Ghost” Trio.
“Watching the trio perform, one really couldn’t tell who was happier to be there — the rapt audience or the musicians, who threw themselves into repertoire they clearly love... These three are onto something special.” — Boston Globe
Program
Beethoven – Piano Trio in B-flat Major, op. 97 (“Archduke”)
John Zorn – Ghosts
